Try To Remember

‘You open your hand, you satisfy the desire of every living thing.’ ~ Psalm 145.16
Believe, if your life has been filled with sorrow, that you shall have a good life yet. The God you serve gives life to the dead and calls into existence things that do not exist. (Romans 4). Hold to your faith in ‘happily ever after’ despite what thoughts you have to the contrary. As the old song goes, a song which rings true only for the lover of Jesus,
Try to remember the kind of September
when life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
then follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
that no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
that dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
that love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
then follow.
